Tapioca Tempura Batter

Tempura Batter

1 egg or egg substitute, beaten
¼ cup Let’s Do…Organic® Tapioca Starch
½ cup Rice flour (sweet-rice flour preferred)
¼ tsp Xanthan gum
½ tsp Baking powder
1 cup Water

  • Beat the egg in a small mixing bowl.
  • Mix all dry ingredients together in a separate bowl.
  • Add flour mixture into egg mixture, then whisk in the water to make a thin batter.
  • Dip seafood or veggies into batter and fry (deep-fry or sauté in hot oil)
