Hearts of Palm, Tomato and Basil Melange
1 can Native Forest® Hearts of Palm, drained, rinsed and diced
4 Tomatoes, diced
1 bunch Fresh basil, chopped
2 cloves Garlic, minced
3 Tbsp Olive oil
To taste Salt and pepper
- In a small bowl put tomatoes, fresh basil and Native Forest® Hearts of Palm of to the side.
- In a separate bowl, mix olive oil and garlic.
- Pour the olive oil over the mixed vegetables and let stand at room temperature for 1 hour to allow the flavors to blend.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- This will keep in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
- It can be used as an appetizer (on crackers or bread) or entrée (tossed with pasta), and is a superb side dish.
